Lotus und Salvinia sind nur zwei Beispiele von rund 280.000 bekannten Pflanzenarten. Alle sind in Jahren der Evolution in Mutation und Selektion funktional optimiert und bilden eine unerschöpfliche Quelle der Inspiration für Techniker und Materialwissenschaftler. Aus dem eigenen Archiv (W. Barthlott) von rund 300.000 Pflanzen-Bildern und rund 150.000 REM-Aufnahmen der Oberflächen stellen wir eine größere Auswahl zur Verfügung.
